What we do
MRY is a network for marginalized gender working at the interface of art, culture, technology, science as well as personal development and mental health - or simply life. But actually it's not important what you do. MRY is aimed at those who want to exchange ideas when it comes to career planning and who don't want to leave their past and private life out of it. We the founding members are women who are multicultural, multidisciplinary or in other words open to many new impressions. In the exchange we have learned how valuable it is to learn from each other and also to address personal issues, setbacks and social influences in the context of success, career and start-up ideas. As marginalized gender, we are exposed to different expectations in society, but also to the expectations of our families. We are supposed to have a career and be strong, we are supposed to have children and take care of the family, we are supposed to be creative and achievement-oriented, we are supposed to follow societal norms, we are supposed to fade in and be quiet. Only when we talk to each other do we realise that we are not alone with these demands and expectations. With MRY, we want to create a network where all these topics have a place.
Sharing and listening in on various topics, this event is meant as a gathering simply to enjoy each others company, get something off your chest, share what you care about or simply listen in on what others like you need to share. Theres nothing more helpful than a safe space to share. No talking needed. Do you have a topic you want to talk and pick others brains and hearts about? Contact us!
Meet & Match
Since we are a network - we want to practice networking! Both, professionally and personally. We are a group of roughly 70 lovely human beings from four continents who bring life experience, various hard and soft skills, creative minds and inspiring biographies to the table. We are all human, and we want to strive and excell at what we do! Need to meet new people, develope an idea or find some guidance? Contact us!
We want to open our blog to all of our members who want to share their work, inspiration and thoughst. As of now we don't have a curating system. So feel free to get inspired what ever you want to talk about or share. One idea is to let the community blog also grow into an exhibition space for our members to explicitely share their work (written, sound, video, graphics, pictures, you name it) and therefore reach a broader audience as well. You have ideas & projects you want to share? You have experiences in building a community blog our digital exhibition space? Contact us!
As our events grow to be more regular and our members might want to invite onther members to events of their own we want to create a calender that gives you an overview of what is happening in the lifes for you fellow MRYans.
We want to provide reading recommendations and add discussion and discourse on books and inspirations that we stumble upon. Format wise we are talking about adding a category in our community blog for it and furthermore organize meetings and or talks on books we want to discuss. You want to help in setting that that up? Contact us!
Feel free to explore our website to learn more about our founding members and our visions for this network.
